Vintage Convetion Swap

This is my creation for the Vintage Swap I am participating in at Convention with Martha Lucia Gomez. The background technique is called Faux Patina and it is basically several layers of sponged ink over the Vintage Wallpaper Embossed Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then I light rubbed Versamark over the cardstock and sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder over it and heat embossed it. This created an aged metal look which is perfect for a vintage card! I used the En Francais for the smaller background in Crumb Cake and used the Artistic Etchings stamp set as my focal point. I thread Linen Thread through the Crochet Trim to create the gathered look and finished the card off with an Antique Brad and Basic Pearl!

Stamps: En Francais, Artistic Etchings
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso
Other Supplies: Big Shot Machine, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Cutter Kit, Crochet Trim, Vintage Brads, Basic Pearls, Dimensionals

Masculine Convention Swap

Here is my swap for Jennifer Blank's Masculine Swap at Convention. It features the the stamp set Bring On the Cake and the Rich Regals Designer Series Paper Pack. Fancy Convention Swap

Here is my swap for Julie Beltramo's Fancy Swap at Convention. This card featured the new Pennant Parade Stamp Set and the new Pennant Punch. I think I'm going to love this punch!!! I turned the pennant upside down to create a tree, cleaver huh! It's hard to tell in the photo but there are several layers on this card all separated with Dimensionals. To me that is what makes this card "Fancy", along with the sparkle and embellishments. There is Shimmer Paint on most of it so it sparkles beautifully in the light.

Stamps: Pennant Parade
Card stock: Crumb Cake, Lucky Limeade, cherry Cobbler, Whisper white
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler
Other Supplies: Big Shot Machine, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Ticket corner Punch, Linen Thread, Ticket Punch, Shimmer Paint, Basic Rhinestones

Beautiful Butterfly Convention Swap

This is another general swap for Convention. I got the idea for this card from a swap I received form Karen Barineau, thanks Karen! Again I used the Happiest Birthday Wishes for the sentiment which is stamped in Concord Crush. did you notice that all these colors are, or at one time were, In Colors? I cut the butterflies with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit and embellished them with a Basic Rhinestone, then layered them on a Scalloped Square. The background was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. This card went together very quickly and if perfect for someone who doesn't stamp much.

Finally Finished!

Well, I am finally finished with all my swaps. What a job it was! I think overall I have about 400 swap, but it will all be well worth the effort once I get to Convention on Wednesday. I thought you might like to see some photos of the process. This is what I have been working and the reason I haven't posted in a while....

I first designed all my swaps and then ordered all my supplies for each. Then I sorted each swap and the material for each into separate baskets. This way I can work on one for a while and switch off once it starts getting too tedious.

I worked in an assembly line fashion going step by step through the process.

As the swaps were completed I placed them in translucent envelopes and separated them into "finished" bins.

This is a work table I set up in our dinning room so that I could be in part of the living area with others in the evening but still be working.

These are all the swaps completed and put in one place. It looks like the swaps are going to need their own suitcase!
