MOJO 213: Flowers for Christmas

Here is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challange:

I don't have a lot of time today to go into all the details of the card, but if you have any questions please post them in the comments and I will be sure to reply. This is the first circle card I've made and I am so pleased with it! Again I used many layers to create depth to the card. And with the Big Shot the textures, shapes, and depth couldn't be easier! Hope you like it as much as I do!

Stamps:Season of Joy
Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede
Card stock:Early Espresso, Gold, Red Glimmer, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Today I wanted to share with you a card I received from my friend Mindy. Isn't it just so cute! She used the Pennant Punch to create the "Boo Banner", and the jack-o-lanturn is from the new Jack of All Trades stamp set in the Idea Book & Catalog. Her happy Halloween sentiment is from the Hand- Penned Holidays stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. Thanks for sharing Mindy!

Saturday Swaps

Today's swap is one I recently received from my friend Pam. I got this card in the mail along with a little note, which always brightens my day! I just love the color in the rose and how this is layered over the Top Note. The rose is from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set I believe it's colored with re-inkers. Thanks so much for this card Pam!

Albuquerque Regional Swaps

Here is my first swap that I made for the Albuquerque Regionals last weekend. This is also one of the cards we made a couple of weeks ago at the Holiday Stamp A Stack. Isn't this an elegant holiday card? It goes against the traditional colors used for Christmas, but is just stunning! I stamped the tree using the Bright Hopes stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. To give it a little depth I embossed part of it with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder. Then I finished it off with a Basic Pearl to top the tree.

Here is my second swap; I little more fun and colorful. This is the new Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper. I used the 1" Square Punch and the Scallop Square Punch to create the pattern. The "thank U" is from the Pennant Parade stamp set. This shows a great way to use that stamp set with out using the Pennant Punch. It's finished off with some Peach Parfait 1/2" Poly Stitched Ribbon.

And last but not least this was a gift from a fellow demonstrator, Susan Legits. She was so nice to give both Laurie and I one of these notebooks she made for all the girls in her group. The little tag in the middle says "got stamps"? I think I will use this to keep my card sketches in. Thanks so much Susan!

Albuquerque Regionals Recap

Laurie and I had such a blast on Saturday at the Albuquerque Regionals! We learned new techniques, swapped with other demonstrators, made make n takes, and we both even won some prizes! I wanted to share some of the photos with you.

We got to make two really cute Make n' Takes using the You Are Loved stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalog. I really liked this set when I first saw it in the catalog, but now I LOVE it! It really is so versatile!

There were lots of demonstrations by Stampin' Up! staff and local demonstrators. I came home with lots of ideas and inspiration!

One of my favorite parts of any Stampin' Up! event are the samples that are posted for everyone to take photos of.

This was the first Make n' Take.

And here is the second one. We also got supplies to make two more projects with this stamp set and none of them are Valentine's. this set will definatly be on my next order! Check back later as I will be sharing the swaps I made for this event and a little something special I recieved from a fellow demonstrator.

MOJO 212: Life on the Wild Side

Here is my sketch for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge:

When I saw the slender focal point it just screamed Giraffe! And I've had this set for a while and haven't used so this was perfect! I started by embossing the background of Cajun Craze cardstock with the Hounds tooth Embossing folder. I layered a piece of the Well Worn Designer Series Paper which helps make this card look Masculine. I water colored the giraffe with the Water color Crayons and layered that onto an Early Espresso piece of cardstock which was punched with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch. I find this is a good punch to use on masculine cards, don't you think? Finish with a tag, button, and some brads and there you go!

Stamps: Zoo Review, You're a Gem, Best Friends Forever
Ink:Timber Staz On, Early Espresso
Card stock:Confetti Cream, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso
Accessories: Neutrals Buttons, Neutrals Brads, Linen Thread, Dimensionals
