It's a Wrap, Just for you!

Today's project is a Matchbox filled with chocolates that I made as a prize for my stamp club last month. To cover the Hersey Nuggets I used address labels which I stamped using the new It's a Wrap Holiday's stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I just love the idea of these new stamps. They make it so easy to customize your chocolates to match the occasion in a quick and easy way.

Button Buddy Flowers

Today's card uses the new Button Buddies stamp set and I think this is my favorite stamp set in the catalog this year. It is a great way to use buttons on a card in an unconventional way. Stampin' Up's! Designer Buttons come in many different shapes and sizes so the possibilities are endless. I also used the new Stripes Embossing Folder to create a subtle background as I wanted the flowers to be my main focal point.

MOJO 208: I do!

Here is my card for this weeks MOJO Monday Sketch :

Simple and sweet this week, and I am doubling my efforts as I am using this card for a black and white challenge I am participating in as well! I stamped the "Happy I do day" from the Word Play stamp set in Staz On. To give the card a little more character I embossed the Basic Black card stock with the Stripes Embossing Folder, and the Whisper White card stock with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. It kind of gives the car a his and hers feeling, don't you think?

Saturday Swap

Here is a swap I receive from my upline Brenda. She love simple cards which often involve something from nature. Here she stamped the leaves from the Gently Falling stamp set to be her focal point. She included the Snow Burst Embossing Folder to create her background and with this stamp set if creates a totally different background other than snow. Thanks for this swap Brenda, I love it!

Saturday Swap

Here is a swap from my friend Darla. Isn't the little shark cute! She made him using all sorts of Stampin' Up! punches. This would be a darling idea for a boy's card. I find it's often hard to think of masculine ideas, especially older boys. Leave it to Darla as she live in a house with 4 of them!

Mojo Monday

I know its been a while since I've participated and posted for the Mojo Monday Challange. Mojo Monday is currently on vacation so I thought I would share one of my previous posts until it returns and I can participate again. This was originally published on April 19th, 2011.

Here is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch and I think it's my best one yet!

This card took quite a bit of time but I must say it's absolutely beautiful! I've seen these strawberries before and have been wanting to try them out; for today's sketch it just went perfectly with the layout. The strawberry is made using the Scallop Heart Die along with the Little Leaves Die which I ran through the Big Shot Machine. I used the Boho Blossom Punch and Daffodil Delight Brads  for the little strawberry flowers. There are many layers and lots of Dimensionals. I did some faux stitching with the Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, and Gel Pen. I used the Eyelet Border Trim Punch for the scallops along the bottom. I topped it off with some Whisper White Satin Ribbon, and a little tag stamped with the You're a Gem stamp set which I punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch in Real Red, and another Whisper White 1 1/4" Circle Punch.

Stamps: You're a Gem
Cardstock: Real Red, Garden Green, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red

Saturday Swaps

This is a swap I received from a fellow Demonstrator Mindy Evans. She is very good when it comes to My Digital Studio and this is a hybrid card for MDS. The center portion of the card was made in My Digital Studio, printed on her printer, and then added to the card to make a "hybrid." This is the perfect tool to mass produce cards, can you imaging how easy it would be to make all your Christmas cards this way!

Stamp Club Tomorrow!

My stamp club will be meeting Saturday at 1:00pm. I can't wait to share the wonderful projects that I created and to teach them how to water color and make a waterfall card. Here are the projects we made last month.

This is a gift box card. When you pull up the top you see the actual card where you would write you sentiment.

The is the other card we made. I love it because it is so simple and very pleasant. I think I'm in a white phase as I have been making a lot of cards that are based off of Whisper White Cardstock.

Don't forget my Holiday Mini Product Share ends this Saturday. Click here for more details!

Here is a swap I received recently from my good friend Pam. Isn't it adorable! She always pays close attention to all the little details in her cards which make them quite stunning! For this card she used the Pennant Punch along with the Cupcake Punch to create an ice cream cone for a birthday. Thanks Pam, I can't wait to see what you send next!

Holiday Mini Catalog Starts Today!

Today is the first day of the new Holiday Mini Catalog!  You may now begin ordering your favorite sets and the NEW Simply Scored! I'm in love with all the new sets and I know you going to love them as well!

Stampin' Up! has come out with their very own scoring tool and let me tell you, it so much better than any of the other products out there! It so easy to use with it's smooth stylus, 1/8 inch markings, and the place markers which make scoring multiple items a breeze. Here are some more details about the Simply Scored:

  • Comes with a high-quality stylus instead of a plastic bone folder.
    • Stylus is ergonomically shaped and features a comfort grip.
    • The high-quality metal tips on each end of the stylus--they come in two sizes--glide smoothly over your paper.

  • Features a unique set of place markers that let you mark your score lines when creating multiple projects with the same score lines.
    • Includes three place markers.
    • Additional place markers can be purchased for flawless scoring.

  • Includes a hidden storage compartment in the back of the base to hold your scoring tools.

  • Accommodates card stock up to 12" x 12".

  • Check back soon for some upcoming class where you can get your hand on some of the new products in the new Holiday Mini!
